I don't desire any department of the pipe out of the wall. And so I can't use a common "external" cap. I need a cap that goes within the pipe (or something else).

After sealed, the pipe will still exist filled with h2o and under normal pressure for the kind of pipage. It will be a expressionless leg.

I'm trying to avoid breaking walls to change the pressure valve or cap the piping.

  • You cannot improvise on potable water supply piping. In that location are strict lawmaking requirements. What diameter is the piping? Would this turn into a 'dead leg'. Water can sometimes stagnate in such cases, get depleted of balance chlorine, and let bacteria to grow. I'm non upward on plumbing design only it would help if you lot would depict the situation in detail.

  • I don't know of any approved internal plugs for potable water piping, nor how to bargain with modifications which create a dead leg.   • Every bit I empathise the OP's comments now in the question as edited this was the water supply to a toilet at present removed, and is connected to the potable water supply of the structure. I am not enlightened of whatsoever internal plugs for potable water supply pipes.

Merely your solution is too radical. The first attempt should be to get a meliorate pressure arrangement and not to do radical surgery on your existing piping. Can't you replace the valving with a better quality 1? Tank (aka cistern) flushing systems take their ain bug.

Is this an emergency? Have you removed the toilet and this is your just i?
